Important Announcment for PSP groups

After several weeks of personal considerations, I decided to quit with PSP groups and tubes of my stuff.

The reason why I chose this way is mostly one: I've been very busy lately with my work, and I hope (and guess) I'm gonna be even more busy in the future, and I don't have so much spare time to do new pieces just for fun. Moreover, I'm not anymore into that kind of illustration good for PSP groups, it's difficult for me to send my personal pieces for tubes and tags, because they rarely fit with them.  I find not really productive or useful for me and my career, to be known just with my very old pieces. I would like people to follow me because they like my art's progression and my improvements, and not because I'm the "gothic pinup artist". Don't misunderstand: I love and respect all my amazing and talented colleagues who always share their artworks on PSP groups, but I'm not anymore in this way. Routine gets me bored, and the only way to me to keep on with my work is to experiment new stuff and new perspectives. I don't claim you agree with me, but I hope the same you'll understand.

Starting from this Monday, 3rd of June 2013, I quit with PSP groups and tubes: no free stuff, neither on sale. I ask to all groups to delete all my tubes from your sites, boards and groups. Thank you very much for your collaboration.

I take the occasion to thanks all PSP groups during these years, they've always been super kind with me, in particular Dream Scape Imaging, with whom I collaborated until the end. Thank you very much to Lisa Ansell, Jessica Woods and Zindy Nielsen for giving me this amazing opportunity, and for being very professional and kind (especially in the beginning). Last but not least, I would like to thanks all PSP and Tubes users: your support always made my day! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I wish you all the best, and I hope to see you on my pages to follow my work!

Lilla stjärna

Hi guys,
it's been a while I don't post something here. I was very busy actually, with the makeover of my house. :)
I'm almost done with it (yay!).
Anyway, I worked on new illustrations, but for the moment I can't show you anything and tell you anything... but stay tuned, soon you'll have some news!

In the meanwhile, here you are a little sketch, a personal work I made yesterday.

Lilla stjärna. (Little Star)

2013. No ref. Pencil, color lead and watercolor on sketch paper.

She is my tribute to Theres, the main character of "Little Star", last novel by John Ajvide Lindqvist.
I love his books, have you ever read "Let Me In"? Sooner or later I'll draw also Oskar and Eli.
I hope you like her!

New Stuff! :D

Hi guys, how have you been?
I'm sorry for the lack of presence here but I was literally overwhelmed by work in the past month (coloring Star Trek pages is such an hard work to do!)

Anyway, some news for you and some new illustrations.
Let's go! (click to enlarge the pictures)

2013. Photoshop CS4 + Wacom Cintiq 22HD.

No ref used except from some details.

©KOF - Kingdom Of Fantasy magazine.

Finally, I can show you this picture. I made this cover art for a brand new magazine called KOF (Kingdom of Fantasy), published by DieGo publishing
As requested, I got inspired by the two movies about the Wizard of Oz, (one of my favourite books, by the way), the brand new one called "The Great and Powerful Oz", directed by Sam Raimi, prequel of the old movie by Victor Fleming, "The Wizard of Oz", in 1939, and this is my tribute to those amazing movies and to Frank Baum too!
As you can see, I didn't want to portrait all actors involved in the new movie, I just wanted to catch some similarities and paint all characters by myself. I still have to go to the cinema and watch the new movie, but working on this cover made me pretty much curious about it (I had to do a lot of research), and the color are pure awesomeness!
Anyway, I hope you like it.
And yes, it is my very first painting with my brand new Cintiq! I love it!

FYI: you can find a workshop of this cover inside the magazine! Out the 29th of March! Stay tuned on www.diegopublishing.com.

No ref used except her right hand (by: [link])

Another piece from Truckers first project "What The Fake!?". Inspired by the Bloody Mary legend. I wrote the story myself.

"[...]Mary screamed and screamed until that darkness filled up her lungs and took her breath away. She struggled until her nails fell off
her fingers, and a weird cold pervaded her body. She finally surrendered, closing her eyes to that last, distant sound of a little bell."

Poison

2013. Photoshop Cs5 + Wacom Intuos4.

Done from scratch, no ref used except for the ivy leafs and her hands (mine! ).

OC: ©DC Comics

I made this picture just for fun. Actually, in the beginning she was not supposed to be Poison Ivy (here you can see where I started from: [link]), but while I was painting and finding a good palette, turned aout that way. By the way, I'm in LOVE with Poison Ivy, probably one of my favourit comic female character ever...  and I was thinking about painting a fan art one day... and it came out practically in a random way. I think the whole picture is totally out of print gamut (all these bright green and red colors)  but I just wanted to have fun and don't think too much about technical stuff...
I hope you like it!
Enjoy.

Battle Beasts colors update.

This is my work done in collaboration with my partenr in crime Valerio Schiti
As usual, I made the colors and Valerio did the awesome art.
I had a lot of fun coloring this series, it's a shame they stopped it. As for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, these comic books have something really cartoonish, and I tried to keep that mood in the best way possible.
All issues are published by ©IDW Publishing.
I hope you like them all!

I smell white

2012. Photoshop CS5 + Wacom Intuos4.

No ref used and no lineart.

Brushes and textures by me and CGTexture.

It's been a while I didn't paint something just for me, so I guess I made it because I had an art block recently. Anyway, no particular meaning, I just wanted to messing around with some brushes and textures and lights, with rough brush strokes.
I was inspired by this article (only in Italian guys, sorry!): L'indefinibile aroma del bianco: it's based on a recent scientific research about the "white scent".

I hope you enjoy it!
